Did you know that you should eat once every two to three hours
for a total of five to six meals each day? Do you know how
much protein your body needs for proper recovery? Did you
know that without adequate vitamins and minerals your body
cannot function at it's full potential? Here are the Top 10
"Get F.I.T.” eating tips to help you maintain your
energy while you train and lose weight:
1. Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day.
2. Drink at least six 8-ounce glasses of water each day.
3. Eat before you get hungry, drink water before you get thirsty.
4. Avoid carbohydrates (potatoes, breads, rice, pasta, etc)
within 4 hours of going to sleep.
5. Eat one serving of protein and one serving of carbohydrates
with each meal (note: a serving is about the size of your
fist).
7. Add vegetables to 2 to 3 meals each day.
8. Do not eat anything that has more than 20% of its total
calories from fat.
9. Use meal replacement supplements for two of your meals
